MOZAIC—ARTS01

Mozaic-Arts began in Portland as a platform for exhibitions, artists, and creative exchange. Over time, the work expanded beyond the conventional boundaries of an arts organization. A move to Fontecchio—a small mountain town in Abruzzo—brought different scales of attention into view: the life of old buildings, the knowledge held by neighbors, the movement between enclosed courtyards and open landscape, and the questions that arise when a person becomes a student of a place.

Today Mozaic holds its earlier history and its emerging Italian work together. Rather than imposing a finished model, it is developing slowly through relationships, experiments, and the particular character of each place. The story remains open: part archive, part working practice, and part invitation to see what becomes possible when art, learning, memory, and ordinary life are allowed to meet.
